Abstract. The seismic behavior analysis of a reinforced concrete cooling tower with SAP2000 aims to simulate and assess the structure's response to seismic loads. This process typically begins by creating a numerical model of the cooling tower, considering its geometry, construction materials, as well as the expected seismic loads and constraints. The results obtained from these analyses help un- derstand the seismic behavior of the reinforced concrete cooling tower. They can also aid in identifying areas of excessive stress, potential deformations, and parts of the structure susceptible to damage in the event of an earthquake. This infor- mation is crucial for designing structural improvements to enhance the seismic resistance of the cooling tower and ensure its stability during seismic events. |
